Due to the extraordinary circumstances brought on by concerns over COVID-19, the business of the 2020 MARR Annual General Meeting and Director Elections process was conducted exclusively through proxy voting following protocols established in MARR by-laws (Interested members can read about how this year’s AGM process meets MARR by-laws below).
The AGM process is now complete. Results are as follows:
ü AGM quorum was achieved - Total proxy votes received = 25 (43% of eligible voting members participated)
ü PROXY VOTING ITEM #1 – MARR Financials for the December 31, 2019 fiscal year have been approved (19 of 25 received proxy votes were in favour. There were no votes against. 6 proxy votes left this section blank)
ü PROXY VOTING ITEM #2 – Six candidates were elected by majority vote to the available positions for the 2020/2021 Board of Directors. Including directors who enter the second year of their current term, the 2020/2021 MARR Board of Directors will consist of the following:

§ Orest Horechko, RM East St. Paul
§ Christine Major, Portage and District Recycling Inc.
§ Darryl Marsch, Eastman Recycling Services Inc.

March 23, 2020 - Members were advised that due to the extraordinary circumstances brought on by concerns over COVID-19, the business of the 2020 MARR AGM and Director Elections process would be conducted exclusively through proxy voting.
April 8, 2020 - Voting instructions and copies of AGM information materials were sent to members with copies of information materials and voting instructions. Proxy voting window opened.
April 28, 2020 - Voting window closed midnight April 28, 2020.
April 29, 2020 – AGM quorum requirement confirmed and proxy votes counted and verified
April 30, 2020 - Results communicated to members
